Parenting

"Live so that when your children think of fairness and integrity, they think of you." - H. Jackson Brown Jr. (Criminal Minds S07E16)

The Big Bang Theory - S05E07 - The Good Guy Fluctuation (Morality)

Leonard: Well, they say at the end of your life, you regret the stuff you didn’t do more than the stuff that you did, and I’m pretty sure Alice is the stuff I want to do.

Sheldon: You know, the German philosopher, Friedrich Nietzsche, believed that morality is just a fiction used by the herd of inferior human beings to hold back the few superior men.

Leonard: That actually does help.

Sheldon: It’s worth noting that he died of syphilis.

Leonard: Screw it, I’m going.

Sheldon: On your way home, will you pick up some orange juice?

Leonard: Do you mind? I’m questioning a lot of things in my life right now.

Sheldon: Is one of those things your fondness for orange juice?

Leonard: No.

Sheldon: Great. Tropicana, no pulp.

Change

"There are 31,530,000
seconds in a year.
1,000 milliseconds in a second.
A million microseconds.
A billion nanoseconds.
And the one constant, connecting
nanoseconds to years,
is change.
The universe.
From atom to galaxy,
is in a perpetual
state of flux.
But we humans
don't like change.
We fight it. It scares us.
So we create
the illusion of stasis.
We want to believe
in a world at rest,
the world of right now.
Yet our great paradox
remains the same...
The moment
we grasp the "now"...
that "now" is gone.
We cling to snapshots.
But life is moving pictures.
Each nanosecond different from the last.
Time forces us to grow.
To adapt.
Because every time
we blink our eyes...
the world shifts
beneath our feet.

Every day,
every moment, every nanosecond
the world changes.
Electrons bump into each other
and react.
People collide
and alter each other's paths.
Change isn't easy.
More often,
it's wrenching and difficult.
But maybe that's a good thing.
Because it's change
that makes us strong.
Keeps us resilient.
It teaches us to evolve." - Jake (Touch S01E12)

Sacred Scripture

"I believe the whole thing to be outdated thinking. Mankind evolves. Sacred writings should evolve along with it. The world today is not what it was 4,000 years ago." - Abraham (Touch S01E11)

Free Will

"Well, of course you have a choice. Although we live in a deterministic universe, each individual has free will. Now, sit down." - Sheldon Cooper (The Big Bang Theory - S03E16)
